Little Puddie Cat
by
Sally J. Labadie
What would you do if you found a stray cat in your yard? Would you chase it away? Would you feed it? Would you adopt it? This is a true story of how a homeless orange and white cat found a new home with a friendly family and their dog named Blackie. A picture book for children, Little Puddie Cat shows how people can adjust their lives to make room and share their love for a homeless animal.
Sally J. Labadie taught elementary students for 32 years, spent five years as an elementary principal, and followed up as a field instructor, science course instructor and elementary intern coordinator at Michigan State University. Now retired, Sally enjoys writing for children to help them become interested readers and writers of their own history. She also works to preserve the history of her town, and is a "recreational paleontologist" with the help of the Friends of the University of Michigan Museum of Paleontology. Many of her fossil finds are shared with elementary students to help them become more observant of the world around them.
