Live In the Moment
by Olivia Kidston

Golden blood runs through Grace’s veins. Fleeing from the complications this discovery brings, she falls through a portal into a different world. There she meets Kini, who teaches her the connection between golden blood and magic. While there, Grace learns about a series of violent murders occurring. A human man is not only committing these murders, he is planning a war between humans and the people with golden blood. Kini's solution: to kill this human before he can complete his mission. Grace chooses to join Kini, and the two of them embark upon a dangerous quest in a bid to end the threat of war between their worlds.

Olivia Kidston has been passionate about writing since childhood. As a young girl, she spent endless hours thinking up short stories and pondering humorous and fantastic scenarios. As she got older, her imagination led her to write these stories on the back of schoolwork, in notebooks, and in other odd places. Though only seventeen years old, she first got the idea for this novel when she was twelve. Olivia lives in Guelph, Ontario, with her parents, her twin sister Emily, and their fat cat, Artemis.
