For her fifth birthday, Patty got the best present ever. He was tiny, scared, and very quiet. Patty named him Peanut. Peanut is the smallest and quietest puppy ever. He is so quiet that Patty puts him in a purse and takes him everywhere she goes. He goes to the library. He goes to the store. Peanut even goes out to eat with the family. Peanut is so small. Peanut is so quiet. No one knows he's there. But, will Peanut ever make a noise? Children ages 2 to 4 will adore spotting Peanut hidden in a purse and join in guessing what Peanut will say next.

Valerie Dykstra is mom to five and Beppie to 11 (and counting). She loves kids, dogs, books and rocking her favorite little ones. She lives in British Columbia with her husband, two dogs and a big white cat.
