It has long been believed that the adults aren’t there because they were snatched up and eaten by a dangerous creature. But Boogie’s world is expanded when he’s rescued by an adult Icky who shares the truth about the adults’ whereabouts. The reality turns out to be a far cry from what the young Ickies had long believed, teaching Boogie the importance of helping one another and overcoming fears.
Debut author L. C. MacDonald is a loving aunt who wrote this whimsical story for her nieces and nephews in the hopes that it becomes a tale they remember into adulthood. She believes in encouraging children to take advantage of their imaginations and teaching them to understand the power of friendship in overcoming challenges. L. C. MacDonald lives with her partner in Airdrie, Alberta.
