Forgiven
A Journey Through Love, Pain, and Self-Discovery
by Najah A. Williams

Forgiven relates the trials and troubles that have brought author Najah Williams to where she is today: a woman right with God; a survivor of abuse—committed by others and permitted, time and again, by herself; a fulfilled mother and a published author. Join Najah as she comes to terms with her husband’s infidelity, finds love in another, and, in experiencing ever more heartbreak and betrayal, finds the truth of her troubles and forgiveness for her sins from the only place that truly matters: from within and with God. Najah’s dramatic tale takes us into a whirlwind of love, lust, betrayal, and breakdown that’s as uplifting as it is heartbreaking. With as much talent for self-investigation as she has for writing, she plots a story far bigger than one woman’s life. Najah recounts the spiritual and emotional journey she made to overcome the many socially ingrained injustices that threaten women around the world—black women in particular—to become the strong and self-actualized woman she is today.

For Najah Williams, experience is the best teacher. Forgiven started out as just another collection of her writing miscellany: thoughts, poems, and letters to God. Over time it came together to help her understand her truth. It made her wonder: How many other women were going through life, facing their own trial while feeling scared and alone? Thus, her decision to use her love of writing not only as a tool for self-exploration but as a way to reach out to others came to be. She lives in Memphis, Tennessee, with her four beautiful children and their Shih Tzu, Kodak. She is currently formulating her second book. On life and writing, she has this to say: “We can't rewrite our past, but we do have the ability to create our own happiness by making wise, thoughtful choices.” You can find Najah online at najahwilliams.com.
