Macgregor
by Nancy Macgregor

Macgregor is based on a true summer happening and tells the tale of a little boy, his trusty red dump truck and their gray and white feathered seagull friend. The wondrous day begins when they find that a baby blue shark has been left stranded on the beach beside a tidal pool.

Nancy Macgregor, a Nantucket to Jupiter east coast teacher and tutor, has based this tale on a true summer day happening. Her children, Ted, Kendra and Dan, really did find a beached baby blue shark and they spent a memorable day playing with and around her. The old, rusty red dump truck still makes tire tracks on the beach and to this day the family calls all seagulls Oliver. Robin A. Sykes, M.D. is a full time plastic surgeon and part time artist and musician. She and her husband, Tom Rowe, have two children, Galen and Alexis. She lives in Jupiter, Florida.
