Worth the Wait
A Novel
by Whitney Braun

Mike McMann has settled into his new life as a ranch hand in Sethburn, Saskatchewan and his new faith. But something big is still missing—his family. His past as a professional hockey player in the NHL proved to have its challenges with injuries and important relationships, leaving the mother of his child and his son thousands of kilometers away wondering where they ranked on his priority list. But his life has changed, and he’s ready to fix what’s broken with a little help from above. Amy Rhodes’ life was quiet and routine—just the way she liked it. Having a full time job and being a single mother to an active, young boy, Caiden, kept her constantly busy. So when Caiden’s father shows interest in reconnecting after years have gone by, it leaves her beyond confused. He’s not the same man as the one who skated away from her and their son all that time ago. But when an emergency arises leaving Amy unable to help her son, will she finally be willing to lean on Mike and hope for a miracle from an unfamiliar God?

Whitney Braun is a country girl through and through, whose passion for writing fiction began in the third grade. Her experiences of growing up in a British Columbia farm town provide unlimited inspiration for her stories. Whitney currently resides on an acreage outside of her hometown of Fort St. John, BC, with her husband and their ridiculously spoiled farm cat, Rascal. When not reading or writing, she can be found outside, playing slow pitch and golfing in the summer, and with skis strapped to her feet in the winter.
