Polly And Her Magical Hat
by Hema Rajawat

Meet Polly: sometimes silly, but always so jolly. One day Polly finds a special hat, a magical one at that, and off she goes chanting “Rat-A-Pat-Tat!” With her special hat, it seems as though Polly can do almost anything: hide a ball, a brush, and her mom’s big hoop earrings...until one day she loses it. What will Polly do without her magical hat? Read the beautiful rhyming text of this narrative, and feel the energy from the vibrant and playful illustrations, right until the surprise ending that not only warms the heart, but also leaves a bit of magic in the soul.

About the Author: Hema Rajawat is making her debut as an author of childrens’ books with the goal of sharing one important, but often forgotten message: you can make anything happen if you believe in yourself. As a mother of two beautiful daughters and aunt to many adorable nieces and nephews, she finds and sees magic in children, and loves to make them smile. As her daughters were growing up, she would often share her magical stories in attempts to entertain them, especially at the dinner table. Her kids, along with their "Papa", absolutely loved the stories and often looked forward to meal time just to listen to them. Hema believes that all families should have such magical stories to share and hopes this particular story will be shared for many generations to come. About the Illustrator: Jamak Hadiyan is a Graphic Artist with more than 10 years of experience. Creativity has always been an integral part of her life for as long as she can remember, even as a child. Jamak has always loved colour; in whatever medium she has chosen to work in, as an artist and a designer. She was a judge of a Visual Art Contest, “Art Gala”, in Toronto, Ontario in 2015. She is also the founder of “Jamak Design Inc.” which provides creative projects from concept to production. She specializes in Illustration and Logo Design. Her website is www.jamak.ca
