Captain Coy and the Almost Ever After
by
Emily Lemon
Captain Coy is a rambunctious boy with the heart of a pirate. He loves to go on fun and daring adventures, and often gets himself into trouble! Setting out to Pirate Cove one day, he gets lost. Little does he know he’s landed in Ever After—the world of glitter, sparkles, and everything girls. Soon after, two giggling princesses capture him so they can keep him in their palace for tea parties. What will Captain Coy do? In this funny and exciting story about boyhood and adventure, follow Coy as he plans a clever escape—or else he will be stuck in Ever After forever!
Emily Lemon grew up in a small town in Wyoming, and currently resides in Ioka, Utah, with her husband and children. She has been a passionate reader all her life, and discovered her own talent for writing while working toward a degree in English Literature at BYU-Idaho. In 2012, she published her first book, titled Little Hands. In her work, Emily seeks to turn her experiences as a mother into heartwarming stories that can be shared with families everywhere. With its colorful illustrations and cast of boisterous characters, Captain Coy and the Almost Ever After captures the fun and adventure of family life that will bring joy and inspiration to readers of all ages. She’s also like to thank Austin Henderson for his help in computerizing her illustrations. He made her pictures come to life!
