My Family, My Home
Book Two
by Dawn Skinner

Life will never be the same for 11-year-old Josh. Josh has always lived in an orphanage, but now a family is adopting him. Foxy and Rotten are excited to be opening their home to this new and much-wanted boy, and to deepen the bonds of their family in the process. Josh is thrilled, too, to be starting a new chapter of his life with such a fun and quirky new family. And he is excited to get to know the characters in his unusual new town. But all of the novelty of his new life makes Josh anxious, too. Will this be the family and home he has always wanted? Will he fit in? Will he be accepted in a new school? And will he get used to how different things are in his new world? Make yourself comfortable in My Family, My Home, and follow along with Josh, Foxy, Rotten and the band of quirky characters who make up their loving circle to find out.

Dawn Skinner realized her passion for storytelling as a child. The differences in people and the humor that often accompanies these is her inspiration for the Dysfunctional Piggies series. Dawn hopes to empower children to embrace their own unique qualities and those of others, and to encourage them to show compassion and find humor in each other’s diverse personalities. Dawn enjoys spending time with her loved ones, and currently lives with her husband Jack in Alberta, Canada.
