In Hardy's Shadow
Another Henry and Julia Trevellyn mystery
by Andrew Dutfield

Emigres Henry and Julia Trevellyn, have recovered from the unfortunate events that occurred a couple of years previously on their beloved Hecla Island, the location of their lakeside cottage two hours north of Winnipeg Manitoba. Henry a retired senior police office, has a curiosity that often steers him into trouble. A trip back to England is planned, which includes several family commitments, and time spent exploring Julia’s newfound passion for Thomas Hardy and his birthplace Dorset. Henry is delighted about this venture as he has a childhood connection with this wonderful county. One of the family commitments is a gathering to remember Henry’s older brother Joseph, missing for the previous 7 years. Sadly, the High Court has now declared Joseph deceased. It is time for the siblings to celebrate his life and make peace with his unexplained loss. However, the puzzling letter Joseph wrote to Henry just prior to his disappearance, continues to baffle him and remains a loose end.
