Monique Durand Currie is the author of What Did Emmett Do Today? and Under the Apple Tree. She is a special needs educator with training in mindfulness, yoga, collaborative problem solving, growth mindset, and more. She leads a local gratitude/positivity group and enjoys travelling, hiking, and picking up litter on her walks to make her neighbourhood a more pleasant place. Monique lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with her husband, Curtis, and their rescue dog, Emmett.
