Walking on Muddy Clay
A Story of Redemption
by
Gonzalo E Canales
Walking on Muddy Clay starts as a story of Gonzalo Canales’ early years in El Salvador in the 1970s and early 80s during a civil war. Gonzalo takes the reader on a unique and inspiring journey of faith and redemption, formed from unstable beginnings. Through the challenges of childhood trauma, Gonzalo finds refuge in the majestic natural beauty of Central America. Faith keeps planting seeds deep in his soul through a teachable life lesson, through abandonment and early signs of post traumatic stress disorders. Gonzalo’s family eventualy migrate to Canada to find the refuge and safety that had eluded them in a war torn environment where death and heartbreak consumed all. Gonzalo takes us through a journey of self-discovery with the will of a warrior. The author narrates his passionate will for survival through an empathetic and divine intervention at every turn; his mental suffering begins to heal with an unshakeable faith, built on mercy and grace. A christians’ story of being lost and being found.
