Are Ants Really in My Pants?
by Wendy Delcourt

Stormy is full of energy, curiosity, and big feelings—but sometimes, grownups say the funniest things. Are ants really in her pants? Are butterflies actually fluttering in her belly? What about that lump in her throat? Is it a frog? An apple? A boat? Through playful rhymes and vibrant illustrations, Stormy explores the mysterious sensations of her growing body and learns that her body is a wise teacher. With heartwarming humour and relatable experiences, this picture book empowers young readers to listen to their inner messages, build confidence, and develop a positive sense of self. Perfect for story time at home, in school, or anywhere in between, Are Ants Really in My Pants? fosters self-awareness, emotional well-being, and a whole lot of fun. So grab your comfy socks and join Stormy in discovering the amazing ways our bodies talk to us!

"This book moved me deeply. It felt like it was speaking directly to the longing I had as a child for someone to recognize, affirm and accept my thoughts and feelings. It normalized feelings I had that were unacceptable growing up, and gave little me permission to finally feel them. I think my life would have turned out differently if I had someone helping make these connections when I was young. It's a story I will read again and again and share with vulnerable women and children in my community." - Michelle (overcomer from exploitation, abuse and trafficking)

Wendy Delcourt is an educator, keynote speaker, leadership coach, and the author of Soul Truth: Rekindle the Fire and Shift: Moving Towards God’s Perspective. With years of experience teaching primary school, running daycares, and leading kids’ camps, Wendy has always embraced the magic of childhood curiosity. Whether dressed as a fairy godmother, mad scientist, or party clown, she’s found creative ways to nurture self-expression and play. Her work encourages children to build confidence, emotional balance, and resilience. Are Ants Really in My Pants? is her first book for children. Based in Kelowna, British Columbia, she shares life’s adventures with her husband of thirty years, Grant, their dog, Tucker, two wonderful adult daughters, Hannah and Madison, and a playful grand-puppy, Scout.
