The Little Brown Calf
A Tale of Triumph
by
Beth Gore
A little brown calf roams the prairie, looking for her mom. She needs her first drink of milk, but her mother is nowhere around. The little brown calf is hungry and tired. The rancher appears and sees the calf all alone. She takes her to the ranch, where the little brown calf gets to eat, and slowly becomes stronger. She then gets sick. The rancher wants the little brown calf to get better. How can she help? Follow the little brown calf on her journey to triumph.
Meet Beth Gore, a native Floridian. Her lifetime of caring for animals has inspired her to write tales about her furry-and-not-so-furry friends. She lives near the small town of Micanopy, Florida, with her three dogs, Mistle, Charlie, and Maddie, her horse Whiskey, and Mini the cow. She enjoys horseback riding, spending time with her family and telling bedtime stories with her grandkids. Beth manages her herd of Florida Cracker Cattle and is a lifetime member of the Florida Cracker Cattle Association. Interested in reaching out? You can contact Beth at opr.tales@gmail.com.
