Leap Frog, Leap!
by
Heather Lafleur
Leap Frog, Leap! tells the story of a frustrated young frog who is struggling to learn how to leap … with the help of a young red squirrel, and a shimmering blue bird … whose advice isn’t particularly helpful at all. A delightfully amusing and colourful story, Leap, Frog! Leap! is the perfect book for young children, using nature (in all its diversity) to illustrate the importance of persistence and of accepting and embracing their own uniqueness, even when it makes them feel “different.”
Author Heather Lafleur has always had a passion for writing, especially stories for kids. She has worked hard to develop her skills, earning a diploma in “Writing for Children and Teenagers” from the Institute of Children’s Literature. Leap Frog, Leap! was inspired by time spent at her family’s lakeside cottage with her husband and four children (now young adults), each of whom she homeschooled until they were fourteen years old. She has over 30 years experience working as a Veterinarian Assistant. She loves animals of all kinds, with a special fondness for Dachshunds. When she’s not writing or working, she enjoys grabbing a Starbucks and spending time at her local Chapters, checking out the newest releases, as well as taking annual family trips to their Florida home. She currently lives in Ottawa, Ontario, with her husband, her children, her dogs and cats.
