Lucy's Adventures
Exploring the Meadow
by Gina Tanner

Lucy the dog is ready for an adventure. Today she’s going to the meadow to play with her friend, Millie the bee. Millie is busy collecting pollen, and Lucy can’t wait to learn all about it. Why are bees so important to the environment? What is pollen, and what is nectar, and how do bees help plants grow? Together Millie and Lucy will learn all about this wonderful mystery of nature! Children are often afraid of bees, but these small creatures do so much for the environment. Lucy's Adventures is a charming picture book that teaches kids why bees are important, and what they do to help us all. It’s a particularly useful resource for educators who want to teach their classes about the role bees play in our delicate ecosystem.

Gina Tanner has been writing since she was ten years old. She always has a story in her head and has so much fun putting those stories into writing. When she isn’t crafting children’s books, Gina loves spending time learning about the natural world and volunteering with wildlife. She spends a lot of her time out in nature and has learned over the years how important every creature is to our environment. In her free time, Gina loves to hike, camp, go kayaking, and read as many books as she can, on all sorts of different subjects. She lives in Minnesota, U.S.A., with her dog and her sister.
