Retribution
by Anita Dotts

Vancouver-born Allory Landry is living and working in Marseille, France, when she gets a call from her brother. The man who brutally assaulted her two years ago may soon be out on parole. Confronted with the idea that she may never be safe again, Allory realizes something has to be done. Returning home to face her past is a difficult task for Allory, but she and her siblings have a plan. They will do everything they can to put Leon Price away for life. After all, he’s not just a rapist, he’s also the head of a human trafficking ring. With the help of the VPD, RCMP, and Interpol, Allory, her brothers, and sister work toward getting Price back behind bars. But retribution is not the only thing they seek. The trauma of the past affected the whole family, not just Allory, and as Allory is terrorized once again, they all realize they must heal in order to move forward.

Anita Dotts has always loved to read, and when she was in elementary school, she started writing stories that reflected how she viewed the world. As an adult, Anita has continued to write, publishing poetry in different anthologies in the process. This is her first novel. Having worked as a nurse practitioner for many years, Anita has cared for women who have a history of sexual abuse. She feels there are few books that address this topic and hopes Retribution will help to bring this issue to light. During her free time, Anita enjoys writing stories for her grandchildren as well as kayaking, swimming, and golfing. She lives in Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia, with her spouse.
