Eldorado Sneezes

Eldorado is a dragon who sneezes and lights up like a light bulb when there are strong smells, dust, or nose-tickling feathers. But his friends have stopped inviting him to go places because he ruins their fun by glowing. This makes Eldorado sad. So, he tries to avoid all the things that make him sneeze and glow—even the things he likes! But one day, Eldorado discovers that his gift for lighting up is quite a good thing after all.

Sharon J. Houghton has enjoyed reading and writing for many years and finds great joy in reading to children. She began with her four children and now reads to her five grandchildren. Creating a story a child wants to hear or read multiple times brings her deep satisfaction. When she’s not reading and writing, Sharon enjoys gardening, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and volunteering. She lives in Kamloops, B.C., with her husband, Greg. They don’t have any pets, so they feed the birds and the one solitary squirrel that visit their backyard.
