The princess has absolutely no idea how to find her way back to the castle. As Eileen wanders through the woods, she meets all kinds of delightful creatures—and some scary ones, too! How will Eileen make it through the woods and back to her parents? What adventures will she have along the way? With the help of an elf named Sophia and a fairy named Stevie, at least Eileen knows that she isn’t alone. Set in a magical fantasy world, The Lost Princess is a charming picture book about the power of friendship, gratitude, and patience. It reminds us that our imagination can help us through even the most challenging situations, and that there’s nothing like a good friend when times get tough.

Nicole Udell is twelve years old. She wrote The Lost Princess when she was nine and living in Vancouver, Canada. She was born in Holland, and has also lived in Toronto, Canada. Her current home is Pedro Leopoldo, Brazil, where she lives with her parents and sister. Nicole speaks English and Portuguese, but she has forgotten the Dutch she learned in Holland. She enjoys drawing, writing, and reading adventure, mystery, and fantasy books. The sketches in The Lost Princess are by Daphne Udell, her grandmother.
