Inspired by her curious granddaughter, Maryse felt compelled to bring MoonMan to life and share his captivating tale with the world. Not only a writer but also an accomplished visual artist, Maryse’s artistic vision takes on multiple dimensions in MoonMan and His Magic Umbrella. Her unique artwork beautifully complements the enchanting narrative, captivating readers of all ages. Educated in the visual arts and holding a university degree that encompasses visual and literary studies, as well as philosophy and theatre, Maryse’s diverse background has shaped her artistic voice. Maryse actively engages with her vibrant artistic community, continually seeking inspiration and growth. She dedicates her weekdays to her studio at The School of Dance and is also a member of CARFAC (for visual artists) and the Ottawa Art Gallery. Residing in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, with her husband, Maryse has two wonderful daughters and three cherished grandchildren. Maryse’s connection to family and her experiences in life infuse her storytelling with love, warmth, and a touch of magic.
