Woes of a Lonely Child

This is a story about a man named King who transformed an abusive childhood into a criminal enterprise worth millions. He left home with his younger brother when they were teenagers to escape constant hunger and violent abuse of their mother. They used what they learned from their mother and their criminal step-father to build an income through armed robbery and murder. During one big robbery, they were caught and king’s brother and most of his gang members were killed. King went to jail and was sentenced to death for his crimes. Just as his execution was about to take place, he was rescued by the remaining member of his gang. King then went on to start a new criminal enterprise in a new location. He later discovers that he has family connections to both the police officer who killed his brother, and the judge who sentenced him to death. King’s school days is the most amazing part of the story.
The authors take the reader through a true life story of a young billionaire named King who became wealthless and worthless soon after becoming a billionaire. It is a captivating and mind-blowing story that takes readers to a different state of reflection about child abuse as they read it. Gershon and Peter (the authors) are father and son. Peter is a final year undergraduate student at the University of Windsor, Canada. Peter writes poems during his spare time. One of his poems won the first place award in the Ontario English Catholic Teachers' Association (OECTA) contest when he was in high school grade 10. Gershon is child protection specialist. He is a supervisor at a child welfare agency in Ontario Canada. Gershon also teaches at the University of Windsor Canada as a sessional instructor. Gershon has a PhD in child welfare and writes and publishes articles in the field in reputable journals. The authors made readers to understand that riches or wealth is not and cannot be everything. The successes, pains, agonies, and regrets of King, presented by the authors in the book, Woes of a lonely child, are thought provoking, breathtaking and worth reading.
