The storm raged on throughout the night. Nora could not sleep but dozed on and off during the bleak hours. But when she discovers two strangers have been living rough in her fields, Nora has to take a look at the larger world again… and what she sees is chilling. As Nora slowly begins to open her heart anew, she faces an unexpected setback so severe that it threatens to ruin the farm where she finds her solace. But now that she’s become open to a new kind of life, she finds fresh perspectives that will not only serve her farm but do a tremendous amount of good for others as well. Chris Nicholson was born in England and after completing her education, she emigrated to Canada. She lives on a rural property east of Toronto with Quincy, one of the many Australian Terriers she has owned. She is now enjoying country life and all it has to offer. Her first book, Lacey’s Luck, was published in 2008.
