The book’s concept was formed over a single girlfriends’ lunch date, after exchanging the thrills and woes of dating experiences. The title, “Dumbass Dating,” sprung into the mind of author Gigi Stutterheim and she started writing the book as both a cathartic experience and educational tool for other women: “It was time to turn lemons into lemonade.” After devoting decades to others—whether spouses, children, or workplaces—Stutterheim and her contributing writers (all pseudonyms) wanted to tell all—both positive and negative—about the steep learning curve of dating as newly single women. An eligible woman and psychologist who was formerly married, Stutterheim’s mission is to share stories, lessons, and laughs. Dumbass Dating is the first book of an intended series.
