This is a lively, funny, and heartwarming story about the formation of a blended family. Lane and Kassidy visit their dad every other weekend, and one weekend they are introduced to Sabrina, who soon becomes their stepmother. Sabrina is kind and loving, and the children quickly accept her. The story continues with a move, a new baby, new friends, and finally a second baby. Each chapter is told from the point of view of either Lane or Kassidy, and shows their unique perspective on each of the big changes in their lives. With love and support from their dad and Sabrina, and a few wise words from their friend Jackie, Lane and Kassidy thrive as their family grows and changes.

The Stephens’ Stories (Our Changing Family) was inspired by several funny and heart-warming adventures that our family experienced as we came together and grew. These adventures began with me meeting my step children for the first time. They continued with our becoming an official family, and later adding two more children. My step children alternate narrating each chapter from his/her viewpoint. Among the hilarious and uplifting tales, you will see how we worked through trials that are common among blended families.

Samantha Keith has been an educator for twenty-four years. She has worked with students participating in the UIL writing competitions. She has been a storyteller her entire life. She was raised by her grandparents, and as the oldest of thirty-four grandchildren, she kept her younger cousins entertained with stories every weekend. Samantha Keith lives on a thirty-five-acre farm in northwest Texas with her husband, two dogs, and a mischievous cat. She enjoys having adventures with her family.
