James Golding, a native of St. Catherine, Jamaica, wrote his first poem sometime in the early nineties and continued writing them as the years passed, using the process of putting his thoughts down on paper to help him work through difficulties, capture beauty, and simply navigate the world around him and his place within it. He never had any intention of gathering those musings into a collection for publication, but when a colleague did something similar, he was inspired to do so, hoping to preserve his poems—and the feelings and experiences captured therein—for posterity. James very much hopes that his readers will find solace and inspiration in these pages. He currently lives in Sackville, Nova Scotia, where he enjoys writing, reading, and watching movies.
