In The Booth and Off The Cuff
by
Donna Kirsch
It’s hockey night! Time to gather ‘round the family television and claim your favourite chair for an epic faceoff between the Montréal Majors and the New York Centrals, another chapter in their famously bitter rivalry. But with goalies turning into sieves, blind mice for referees, and wingers sprouting literal wings, this game is unlike anything you’ve experienced before. Punctuated by punny illustrations and hilarious play-by-plays, In the Booth and Off the Cuff is an imaginative coffee table book for hockey fans with a sense of humour. Featuring a whole new kind of commentary, readers and their families will want to return again and again, even in the off-season.

Donna Kirsch is a lifetime lover of hockey. A former goalie, she has watched and participated in more hockey games than she can count. She was inspired by her father, an armchair-commentator who entertained his family during every game with his funny and imaginative takes on the play-by-play. Donna lives with her husband, two daughters, and Aussiedoodle in Lake Country, British Columbia. In the Booth and Off the Cuff is her first book.
