He is a very encouraging octopus, and the reader gets to follow him on a tour of the intertidal zone, where he meets various creatures and helps them see the best in themselves, sometimes with constructive criticism and some added humour. Through love and kindness, Ollie's tentacles reach far and wide. A Touch Of Friendship is an entertaining read for the entire family, and offers teachable moments disguised in an undersea adventure! This book is well suited to a young audience, children ages three through eight.
Tricia Martin lives on the west coast of British Columbia. Before writing her debut children's book, "A Touch Of Friendship," Tricia and her husband owned their own businesses. As a corporate trainer, she traveled the world sharing insights with tens of thousands, bringing simplicity to diverse subjects. Now semi-retired, Tricia has traded in her business suits for yoga pants (wink). A kid at heart, Tricia loves puns, stories by the fire, getting out in nature, singing and just being silly. When she isn't writing, Tricia can be found multi-tasking and supporting the busy lives of her investor husband, and their adult daughter and son.
