Ocean Pollution
The Adventures of a Wacky Water Droplet
by
Kayla Jeffries
Wiley the wacky water droplet has fallen off his cloud, Vaporo! But this time, when he awakens, Vaporo’s nowhere in sight and Wiley is worried he’ll never find another place he belongs. But Wiley’s in luck because he’s landed in the ocean on a plastic bottle named Spring. Spring is lost too, so the two friends decide to help each other. Their first stop? The Great Pacific Garbage Patch! Join Wiley as he and Spring explore the ocean, underwater creatures, and pollution on their way to finding what it truly means to belong.
Kayla Jeffries has felt a close connection to the environment since she was a little girl. Her first book, Wiley: The Adventures of a Wacky Water Droplet: Evaporation, was based on the research she did for a school project as a child, prompting her life-long inspiration to share the importance of the environment with others. In her free time, Kayla enjoys playing competitive sports, enjoying the outdoors in every way possible and dedicates her time to kickstarting community cleanups. She currently lives in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, as a constable with the RCMP.
