Love Yourself
by
Sally Chau
Nigel is excited to see his classmates after the summer break. However, Nigel notices that they treat him differently; they make fun of how he looks and exclude him. Nigel does not understand why until he discovers that he is different from the rest of his classmates. This book helps children to understand and cope with being unique. How will Nigel respond to his classmates? How will he learn to be happy and make friends?
“Love Yourself" is Sally Chau’s debut children’s book. She believes the concept of loving yourself is one of the keys to happiness and wishes that she had learned and practiced it while she was growing up. As children get older and develop negative experiences, Sally believes that loving themselves will help them overcome challenges. Sally was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. She currently works in a Toronto hospital as an ultrasound technologist. One of her favourite pastimes is spending time with her dogs (Snowball and Louie). She also enjoys caring for Nigel, who inspired her book.
