What was life like a hundred years ago? Evelyn remembers, and she has amazing stories to tell. The 1920s were full of new music and new inventions. Come along for the ride to learn about the Roaring Twenties!
Told in rhyming verse, this introduction to a bygone era will encourage curious kids to connect with elderly family and friends, ask questions, and learn about their local and family history.
Lauren Waite is a recreational therapist in a long-term care home, where she is privileged to hear many stories from the residents she engages with. These experiences inspired Back in My Day: Evelyn’s 1920s as a way to give the stories a platform.
Emily Bruce hopes that by sharing stories of the past with her children, she will inspire an interest in history.
Lauren and Emily were born and raised in London, Ontario. They both live with their husbands and sons.
