Author trudy chiswell has spent over fifty years in ancestry research. She is the great-great-great-granddaughter of the first Bernstein mentioned in the book, Julius. Growing up with a curiosity about her treasured Grannie, she asked and documented many details about her grandmother’s past as a young woman. Later trudy found and many on-line research tools that launched her into discovering more about past generations. Creating this book has allowed trudy to meet many new and interesting cousins on the journey. Now, she is passionate about passing on the history of the past to family and future generations. When she’s not writing, engaged in water colour painting or photography she’s enjoying her retirement in the rugged nature of the West Coast of Canada. Her moto is, “Life is an adventure every day, if you choose it to be. Laugh often… Live life as an adventure… Love to the extreme… Treasure each day!”
