Stanya Vara (Canadian- Sri Lankan, 1996) started writing poetry in grade 3; she won the drama award when she graduated elementary school, and her grade 8 teacher encouraged her to never let go of poetry. Since 2020, she has published literature all over the world, and appeared on Amazon top ten bestseller list with; Soidisant (2020), the hourglass (2021), the fragrance (2021) and a children’s’ book; my gift to you (2021). Stanya enjoys volunteering with several organizations such as; Amica Retirement Home, Reena Organization & the Toronto Harbourfront Centre. She takes the initiative to help disabled youth through creative writing and supports her community express their artistic skills. Stanya is also a Managing Optician that explores eyewear trends, resolves ocular conditions related to vision, and organizes company operations to run a successful business. Besides the duality between the arts & sciences, Stanya Vara is a hopeless romantic that loves the magic of serendipity. She enjoys spending time with her significant other/loved ones, museums & latte’s, and is always chiming to a good laugh at a comedy show! Laughter & Love cures all; both will always tell a good story... Stanya lives in Kleinburg, Ontario, Canada.
