Twinkles and Wings
Stories of Hope and Belonging
by Tannis Mary Fisher

Join in these magical tales where stars tell jokes, butterflies play baseball, and fairies have afternoon tea in the sky. If you have ever felt that you are all alone, or that you have lost your sparkle, or that your dreams are a little too big, these stories are sure to put a smile on your face and hope in your heart.

"Tannis Fisher, in these three warm-hearted stories, writes of hope, love, courage. The characters discover who they are and where they belong through struggles, through determination, and with the help of friends and family. Children and adults will enjoy the gentle humour, caring tone, and evocative writing in this collection." —Robert Heidbreder, Canadian children’s writer

Tannis Mary Fisher was born and raised in the lower mainland of British Columbia, Canada on the traditional lands of the Coast Salish People. As a lover of nature, she experienced its abundance while living throughout the province. From a young age, her joyful, childlike spirit fueled her sense of wonder and passion for creativity. She is a storyteller, songwriter, and poet. Trained as a Montessori school teacher, she finds delight in children and learning. Whether in a classroom or gathered with family and friends, you'll find her quietly listening to children or joining them in play. Most of all, she’s a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. These stories are a few of her favourites.
