Death on the Spectrum
by Anne Poynter

Coming off the heels of a devastating divorce from her ex-wife, Bernadette O’Connell is ready for a fresh start. With a new PI license and years of LGBTQ+ advocacy under her belt, Bernadette is eager to make a difference for her community.

When Sergeant Nasir Kumrani of the Oakmont Police Department approaches her with the cold case file of Vickie Lombrosa, a young lesbian who fell to her death in a tragic workplace accident, Bernadette accepts her role as the police department’s community liaison. Something is off about Vickie’s case, and Nasir is determined to get to the bottom of it with Bernadette’s help.

With suspicions of foul play hanging in the air, Bernadette must navigate her messy familial ties, single motherhood, her community’s lingering traumas, and a budding romance with the handsome sergeant as she retraces the final steps of Vickie Lombrosa.

Was her fate truly an accident, or was it the result of far more sinister intentions? And if so, who was behind it?
