Dot Adventures to The New Earth
by Marilyn Picard

Dot is one water droplet in the Great Ocean, a wonderful faraway place that shimmers with the hearts of all the other droplets. This is Dot’s forever family. In the Great Ocean, she is safe and loved. She never imagined that she would leave. One day, One Heart, the biggest and brightest of all the water droplets, sends Dot on a very special mission: to go to the New Earth to investigate its water families. There are ponds, geysers, glaciers, and misty forests to explore! Dot isn’t sure she’s ready, but One Heart believes in her. And as Dot goes from family to family, bravely splashing from puddles to geysers, she discovers not only the love that unites these families, but her unique inner light.

"I just read this book and LOVED it! It was easy to read and understand the main idea. I liked that it told me about the important things in life. I feel that the message of the book is to always be loving and kind to your family and friends!” Lyric age 10 "I read this book with Paytyn, my 8-year-old granddaughter and we both loved it. She had some questions at the end of each chapter. We had some interesting discussions about both positive and negative feelings, how can we create a "New Earth", and the role our heart plays in life. I highly recommend this book to parents, grandparents, teachers, child therapists, and anyone working with children as it opens the door for healthy discussions around anxiety and insecurity during stressful times. It teaches concepts related to heart-based living. I found the book charming, insightful, and educational. The illustrations inspired a variety of conversations. A book that is essential for these times." —Sandra Foster, MA (hons) PhD (honorary) Early childhood educator, teacher, play therapist (retired)
