Farmer Gail
and The Hen House Mystery
by
Gail Reimer Jonas
Introduce your child to their first “Who done it” mystery. Read it to your littles, or have your own young reader learn how farm life and conservation work together to solve the mystery!
The author lives on a farm in rural Manitoba. The first years on the farm saw her busy in the fields tilling the soil and learning animal husbandry. It was during this time she and her husband raised three children, leaving a legacy of love for rural life which included an assortment of chickens, pigs, cows, horses and family pets. With some tough times in the farming sector the author got a nursing degree. Not only did the job help to keep the farm afloat, it also allowed the family to maintain the lifestyle they loved and were accustomed to. Now, with three Grandchildren in the picture, they look forward to fun times spent together on the farm.
