Just A Position
by Robey S. Stothart

Boy and girl. Salty and sweet. Black and white. These things might seem like opposites, but they don’t have to be! It’s all in how you see it. What we think of as opposites might be ‘just a position.’ This delightful story is designed to teach middle school children the concept of juxtaposition. Often, two things are actually very similar, but we’ve been trained or nurtured to believe they’re opposites. Sweet and salty taste great together, and boys and girls are more alike than different! In fact, there’s juxtapositions all around us. We just have to understand what it is so that we can learn to see it. The truth is that everything in life is ‘just a position.’

Robey S. Stothart is a writer, musician, teacher-trainer, and instructional coach with over ten years of educational experience. This book is based on a workshop he developed over several years, teaching children to look at the world in a different way.
