Haven
An Anthology of Love & Loss
by
Jennifer Sims
I build a haven
away from the pain
I live in silence
away from the hurt
Dark forms reach for me
I lie
I cry for safe prayers
away from my sickness
Positivity falls from me
I wonder
I die for desire of love
away from being alone
But I live
- J.S.
Jennifer Sims is the President and Founder of Keeping the Books Inc.
Jennifer's purpose for writing this book was to share her passion for using writing and more specifically poetry, as a therapeutic tool.
In doing so herself, she was able to face hard emotions and personal struggles head on, by putting pen to paper.
To move past her own pain and thrive, in ways she never thought possible.
In sharing this anthology of love & loss, she hopes it will inspire others to write and help face parts of themselves, in a healthy and constructive way.
All profit of book sales will be donated to The Chris Butler Foundation in memory of Jennifer's brother.
