Although Garbage Boy’s situation improves remarkably at first, the deeper his involvement with Mister and Stone Pony, the more complicated his life becomes, to the point he risks losing everything he’s fought so hard to gain. The book implies an ethical question “Does a wrong become right if you have been wronged all along?”

Michael McMullen has been writing for decades, his stories based loosely on his lived experience. His work history has given him rich insights into a demographic kaleidoscope, which he seeks to reflect in his gritty, heartfelt stories. Michael’s previous work includes the novel Scarred (2019), which laid the groundwork for this book. He lives in Manitoba with his wife, Deb, whom he’s been married to for forty-four years.
