I Am Ajooni
Yes, That's Me!
by
Tina Johal
At school, Ajooni’s teacher asks her what she wants to be when she grows up. Daydreaming, she imagines all the career options available to her…and the options are endless! She might want to be a firefighter, or a politician, or an architect designing beautiful buildings shaped like flowers. No matter what she decides, Ajooni knows that her future is wide open. She is limitless, and she will reach for the stars! An empowering story told in rhyming verse, I Am Ajooni is sure to be a favorite among readers and parents.
Tina Johal is a mother of four children (three boys and a girl). She wants her children to dream big and know they can accomplish anything, which is what inspired her to write this story. Her hobbies include reading, spending quality time with her family, and writing poetry. She has an infectious desire to continuously learn and grow—education is limitless and forever! A business woman whose work takes her all over the Lower Mainland, Johal lives in Tsawwassen, B.C. with her husband Angus and their children: Ishaan, Zoraav, Niyaam, and of course Ajooni.
