Sally J. Labadie taught elementary students for thirty-two years, spent five years as an elementary principal, and followed up with thirteen years as a field instructor, science course instructor and elementary intern coordinator at Michigan State University. Now retired, she spends her time as a writer with the Shiawassee Area Writers organization, is president of the local historical society, volunteers in the local schools and at the University of Michigan Museum of Paleontology where she calls herself a “recreational paleontologist.” She loves fossil hunting and sharing the finds with school children.
