Kimmy the Kangaroo Goes to the Doctor
by
Myles Scott Kobren
Kimmy the Kangaroo has a bellyache. Is he just sick? Or—like many kids—is he also feeling anxiety about a visit to the doctor? With Mommy by his side, Kimmy learns to face many new and often intimidating experiences, from taking his temperature to bravely cooperating through a doctor’s exam. Kimmy conquers his fears and realizes that the doctor isn’t so bad—especially when he gets a surprise at the end! The Adventures of Kimmy the Kangaroo: Kimmy Goes to the Doctor will teach young readers that they aren’t alone in their fears, and there’s nothing they can’t overcome.
Dr. Myles Scott Kobren, MD, finally got over his own fear of doctors after thirty-two years of practicing obstetrics. In his spare time, he likes to invent fabulous inventions and write entertaining works, and he was awarded by Scriptapalooza for his medical drama in 2014. Myles lives in Manhattan, NY, with his wife and kids, and is the proud father of six fantastic children. Keep up with Kimmy as he continues to challenge himself with new experiences and different discoveries in his upcoming Adventures with Kimmy the Kangaroo book series.
