The White Limousine

A valise comes flying out of the window of a limousine speeding along the interstate and lands not twenty feet from where Chad Arthur is walking home from school. Chad picks up the valise and waits patiently for the limousine to return. Fifteen minutes later, when there is no sign of the limousine, he looks inside only to discover that the valise contains thousands of newly minted bills. He is stunned. Who would throw all that money out of a car window? And why hadn't they turned around to retrieve it? And what is he supposed to do now? Take the money to the cops? Tell his parents? Hide the money and tell no one? What Chad does with the aid of his best friend Alex, is the beginning of an adventure that he soon regrets embarking upon.
This is Glenn Parker's eighth novel. He has published numerous short stories in both the U.S. and New Zealand. Mr. Parker taught English for 25 years in Burns Lake and Prince George, British Columbia as well as two years in New Zealand. He and his wife spent seven years living in South Carolina and currently live in Comox, British Columbia. His interests include reading, travelling, doing crosswords and playing as much golf as the weather allows.
