Helen McCourt Mentek was born in Orillia, Ontario, Canada. She is the mother of three adult children and grandmother to three grandchildren. She presently lives in Surrey, British Columbia. This is her third published book. Her first book, Ripples on a Puddle, was published in 2004. See How They Die was published in 2009.
