Out of the Darkness
I Am Yoga, Just Do It, Dammit!
by
Audrey O'Marra
"This is not your average Self-help book on the practices of Yoga. The author uses a balance between yoga theory and her own personal stories. These elements compliment each other and give a powerful example of how the practices and application of Yoga can have a positive impact on an individual. Her story is inspiring in itself, the fact that she got through the adversities and losses and found a path that many would not have, the chapters about the philosophy of yoga make her story relatable. It would seem like a fluke otherwise, but understanding more about the history, the eight limbs, the different practices, it makes her path seem like it was intentional. She did the work, which makes it attainable for others." Sarah Turner
Audrey has been practicing Yoga since 2007. Ever since she felt a deep connection to her true self on the mat, she hasn’t looked back. Born in London, Ontario on September 12, 1961, her time on Earth has filled her with wisdom and experiences she wishes to share with others in the hopes that they are started on a path of healing and self discovery. Audrey married her high school sweetheart and together they raised four beautiful children. Each of these children is now grown and has a partner of their own, blessing her with nine grandchildren and hopefully more to come. A multitalented woman, Audrey is a bookkeeper by trade, a painter, and most recently, an entrepreneur. She owns the Art Rocks Healing Yoga Studio & Cafe in Dunnville, Ontario with the help of her two daughters. Audrey’s commitment to her family and community is reflected in all that she does, whether that be baking sweets while her grandchildren run around the studio, or offering a cup of coffee and Yoga classes to anyone in need. Even for those who don’t practice Yoga, Art Rocks is a welcoming place open to all. It is her wish that this book simply plant a seed of healing in any who need it. Much love to all! Audrey
