Itinerant Galitzianers
Galitzia, Buenos Aires, Berkeley, La Plata, Québec
by Rodolfo José Slobodrian

Over a century is the period of time described for a galitzian family’s itinerant life in Europe and in the american continent. World War I and the destruction of the ancient kingdom of Galitzia is shown here. Life and migrations of the family members to South and North America occupy significant sections of the book. A moving homage to Maria Toporowska, Josef Slobodrian, their relatives and galitzianer brothers is implicit in the true tale told in this book. Suffering was bestowed by great powers on these people over the century. Their fate was paraphrasing Erasmus of Rotterdam: Galitzian dolens, semper dolens !!

Rodolfo José Slobodrian, Dr. in Physicomathematical Sciences. Professeir émérite, associé of Département de physique, de génie physique et d’optique, Université Laval, formerly physicist at Universirty of California Radiation Laboratory (1955-1957, 1963-1968), profesor titular of Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina (1958-1963), physicist at Comisión Nacional de Energía Atómica, Argentina (1953-1963). Nominated twice with American colleagues for the Nobel price in physics, without success. Published many papers in several physics journals.
