Psalms of an Ordinary Woman
by
P S Howard
Psalms of an Ordinary Woman shares the ups and downs of life guided by the grace of God. Though we walk with an eye on heaven and both feet on the earth, life’s roads are seldom easy. This gift of psalms is for anyone seeking spiritual comfort in a challenging world. Do not let yourself be trapped in the trenches. Lift your face and enjoy the breezes of blessing, for God empowers us to live with joyful victory.
From ordinary women: In the fast-paced busyness of life, we can find ourselves feeling exhausted, discouraged, and questioning how we are going to make it through another day. Touching the reader at heart level, these psalms bring me to a place where I can find encouragement, greater hope and trust, peace, worship, rest and restoration. My heart resonates with the author’s personal journey, as she trusts God through her everyday struggles. I recommend this book to anyone who desires a deeper, more serious relationship with God. M. Christine Hartzler, NCC, LPC Mental Health Counselor In Psalms of An Ordinary Woman, Howard shows her love for and devotion to Christ in this series of beautiful and sometimes heart wrenching psalms. Her quest for guidance and her total joy in being a child of God are obvious, and at times, remind me of The Songs of Solomon by their sheer poetic intensity. This book will be on my nightstand as a source of inspiration for my own quest. Jeannie Sorrell Special Education Aide
As if born with a pen in hand, PS Howard cannot remember a time when she did not write; her stories and poems have entertained family, friends, teachers and students since childhood. Daughter, sister, wife, mother of six and grandmother of seventeen—yet, she is an ordinary woman. A high school English teacher for over thirty years with an MA in creative writing, Howard is constantly inspired by God’s creation, natural beauty, children and the loving kindness she sees every day. She lives in the tranquil farm country of Wilkinson, Indiana, with her husband, Terry, and their dogs, Max and Sadie.
