Memories of an Outlaw Biker
by
Ralph "Teach" Elrod
1969, a time of rebellion. I joined the Barons MC. This is that story through the 1970’s, the men, the women, and the cops. We stopped the feds from blackmailing the states into requiring helmet laws. We surrounded the U.S. Capital Building two deep in Harleys and outlaws. How we did it. This is some of what I experienced and witnessed. Times were wild, fast and tough— so were we. I loved it! This is that true story.
I've known Teach for over forty-one years and have lived through much of this book. This is a great telling of bike club stories in the 1970's. Teach's history is much like the rest of us who chose this lifestyle. These stories are humorous, exciting and it's hard to believe he lived through it all. Maxx ....Tucson
I've been a nomad member of the Barons MC since July 20, 1969. I love the life but there are other parts to my story. I attended 11 dfferent schools in seven different states, graduating from Boise High and then a Football Scholarship to Boise Junior College. Later I taught Elementary school in Oregon for four years. My last year of teaching was in Montana. I was also Road Captain of the Barons MC, from Salt Lake City. I was elected President throughout the 1970's.
