My Child Would Never Do That!
A Guide for Student Success
by Pam Manning Ph.D.

My Child Would Never Do That! are famous last words uttered by parents in every school and every school district across the country when they are surprised about something they believe their child would never do. In my experiences students of all ages can make poor choices due to peer pressure, poor parenting or behavioral concerns. Students can stand and do great things as well. For those few students that do shocking things, I am presenting twelve principles for parents which will prevent them from falling into an embarrassing scenario and they would be able to truly know, “My Child Would Never Do That!”

“This book should be in every home especially homes with children. Dr. Manning’s advice comes from the Expert on children and she has applied her experiences with His principles brilliantly!” Dr. W.J. Griffin Parents and Teachers often believe their child or student would never do that! Tom Swetts a high school teacher in Newtown: Surprised when he realized that, “I once taught the shooter.” Peter Lanza father of Adam Lanza the Newtown Shooter said, “Our hearts go out to the families and friends who lost loved ones and to all those who were injured. We are in a state of disbelief and trying to find whatever answers we can.” Anzor Tsarnaev, father of the two Boston Marathon bombings said, “My son would never keep it a secret. We have never had arms in the family. My sons never do bombing. They never could have done this. Never, Ever, Ever!”
